Although the steps will help yoga therapists as well, they are intended to help yoga teachers who would like health care professionals to recommend their classes to patients and clients for prevention and health promotion/wellness. This toolkit recommends that yoga professionals who are not yoga therapists do NOT describe what they offer as yoga therapy and do not seek formal referrals but rather ask health care professionals to recommend their classes. The steps will teach you how to support health care professionals by providing wellness and health promotion via yoga practice to their patients/clients.
