In this retreat we will take a scientific approach to breathing in asanas and pranayama to discover and tailor ratios to your nervous system and your unique needs. We’ll find your personal golden ratio. 

In addition, we will explore the science of mechanics of pranayama, review the research literature, and practice explore three specific breathing practices: Viloma Krama, Anuloma Krama, and Anuloma Ujjayi.
This workshop will help you:
  • Discover breathing ratios that work for your nervous system
  • Learn how to use the breath in asanas and pranayama to create focus and energy – uniquely for you
  • Learn how to use the breath in asanas and pranayama to calm and ground – uniquely for you
  • Understand which asanas to use to prepare for specific pranayamas
  • Understand healthy guidelines for pranayama
  • Pass these techniques on to your students (if you’re a teacher)
  • Become known as a nervous system regulating yoga teacher who helps promote mental health
  • ​Rest, renew, and deepen your practice
  • ​Enjoy the beauty of our little city nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains!
Hi, I'm Kristine Kaoverii Weber
I’ve been teaching yoga since 1995 and training yoga teachers since 2003. I learned yoga when I was in my teens and started using it regularly to address my own anxiety and depression. 
I am the director of the Subtle® Yoga Teacher Training for Behavioral Health Professionals program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Health Sciences at MAHEC in Asheville.

I present workshops and trainings internationally and am frequently invited to speak about yoga at health care conferences and on podcasts.

How many spaces are available?

We chose Asia House because it is a small, intimate venue... so we can only accommodate 45 students. Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Where will the retreat be held?

Asia House at 119 Coxe Ave, Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville is a special place. It's well-known for its arts, music, restaurants and gorgeous mountain scenery. Come enjoy the beauty of this town!
What does the price include?

The tuition. Travel, accommodation and meals are not included in the price. 
Are there any CEUs available?

Yes, you are eligible for 13 hours of CEU from Yoga Alliance upon completion. After the retreat please email Stacey at support@subtleyoga.com for information and to receive your CEU hours.
