Hi, I'm Kristine Weber
I’ve been teaching yoga since 1995 and training yoga teachers since 2003. I learned yoga when I was in my teens and started using it regularly to address my own anxiety and depression.

For more than a decade I’ve been studying the neuroscientific benefits of yoga and meditation. I am a passionate advocate of slow, mindful yoga and have dedicated myself to teaching people how it can strengthen the nervous system and optimize the brain.
I am humbled and honored that somehow I’ve gathered the kindest, sweetest, most compassionate group of yoga enthusiasts and teachers from every corner of the world (you can read some of their thoughts about Subtle® Yoga below). 

I write articles for amazing publications (like Yoga Therapy Today), I’ve trained thousands of yoga teachers and hundreds of mental health professionals, and I’m frequently invited to speak at yoga and health care conferences.

The Subtle® Yoga Resilience Society™ is a private, online members community on Facebook (see FAQs) for lovers of slow, mindful yoga who want ongoing practical support and coaching from a world-class expert on how to build nervous system resilience using slow, mindful yoga amidst a supportive and authentic community of like-minded folk.

There will be monthly online workshops, pranayama practices, meditations, asana classes - all presented by Kristine - and digital journals to support the themes we are exploring. You’ll also have the opportunity to join Q&A sessions with Kristine, engage with other sincere, heartful members and participate in games and contests.

Building Resilience Workshops - LIVE
Every month join me online for a 90 minute workshop that consists of a short talk about various aspects of yoga philosophy that build and strengthen resilience, followed by an asana practice, and sometimes short pranayama and meditation practices. If you can’t catch it live, don’t worry, it’ll be recorded for you to watch at your leisure.

Pranayama Practices - LIVE
Every month join me online for a 30 minute class consisting of some simple asanas followed by a pranayama practice. Pranayama is essential for developing greater nervous system resilience and these sessions give you great tools to use on a regular basis. If you can’t catch it live, don’t worry, it’ll be recorded for you to watch at your leisure.
Meditations - LIVE

Every month join me online for a 30 minute class consisting of some simple asanas followed by a meditation practice. Meditation is the key practice of yoga and the key tool for transformation. If you can’t catch it live, don’t worry, it’ll be recorded for you to watch at your leisure.



Asana Classes - LIVE
Every month join me online for a 60 minute asana class to support and embody the themes we’ve explored during the month. If you can’t catch it live, don’t worry, it’ll be recorded for you to watch at your leisure.

Who is the Resilience Society™ for? Is it just for yoga teachers?

No! It's for yoga students, yoga enthusiasts and yoga teachers and anyone interested in building their resilience using slow, mindful yoga.

Who will present the monthly workshops, classes and practices?
a.
The founder of Subtle® Yoga, Kristine Weber MA, C-IAYT, ERYT500, YACEP will be the sole presenter until at least January 2021.

What if Kristine is ill or has a family emergency?

In that case content will be released as soon as possible. We will notify everyone in an announcement post.

What platform will The Subtle® Yoga Resilience Society meet on?

Facebook. We explored other platforms but decided that most people already know how to use Facebook so we’d keep it easy. I don’t know about you but I don’t need to learn yet another piece of tech right now!

I won’t be able to attend the live online sessions, is it still worth joining?
a.
Yes it is. All the sessions will be recorded and then filed away in the relevant section for easy access for you to watch for the first time or to return to time and time again.

How long will I have access to the recorded workshops, classes and practices?

As long as you remain a member of the Subtle® Yoga Resilience Society. You can return to these videos time and time again. They will be neatly filed away for easy access. The Subtle® Yoga Resilience Society will remain operational until at least 31 May 2022 at which time we’ll make an assessment on the viability of the group.

When will the virtual workshops, classes and practices be each month? 
a.
The first four Wednesdays of every month at 9:30am ET. 

The monthly schedule will be as follows:
1st Wednesday - 90 minute Workshop -  approx. 30 minutes of lecture + 60 minutes of asanas
2nd Wednesday - 30 minute Pranayama - approx. 15 minutes of pranayama + 15 minutes of asanas
3rd Wednesday - 30 minute Meditation - approx. 15 minutes of meditation + 15 minutes of asanas
4th Wednesday - 60 minute Yoga Class - 60 minutes of asanas

In the months where there are 5 Wednesdays no content will be released.

If you can’t join live, the recordings will be filed in the group for easy access for you to watch for the first time or to return to time and time again.

How long do I have to sign up for? Is there a minimum? 
a.
You may choose a rolling monthly contract or make a good saving by choosing the rolling yearly contract. You may cancel either contract at any time by emailing support@subtleyoga.com; please contact us 2-3 days before your next payment to allow us sufficient time to cancel it. Due to the incredible value we are providing, we are unable to offer refunds under any circumstances. If you are not 100% sure that the Society is for you please choose the monthly subscription option rather than the annual option.

Am I bound by any rules as a member of The Subtle® Yoga Resilience Society™?

Yes, there are common-sense rules around behavior in the online group to ensure that we maintain a safe, supportive and authentic community environment for all members. Continuous breaching of the rules will result in warnings and if the member continues to offend they will be evicted from the Society. The evicted member will not be entitled to a refund.

What if I join in the middle of the month?

No worries, you can join whenever you like! All previous material will be available to you in the appropriate units.

I’m a yoga teacher, are there stick figure cheat sheets or scripts for any of the practices?
a.
Stick figures and scripts are not provided, but feel free to pause the videos and take as many notes as you like.

How do I cancel my membership?
a.
Simply email support@subtleyoga.com and we will cancel your payment plan and remove you from the Facebook group. Be sure to do this 2-3 days before your next payment is due so we are able to process it in time.

If I leave the Resilience Society™, can I rejoin at the same rate?

If you’d like to resubscribe you are more than welcome to join again! The Resilience Society™ will be offered at whatever the current subscription rate is.

I can't afford the membership fee, do you offer scholarships?

No one who wants to be an active and contributing member of the Resilience Society™ will be turned away due to lack of funds. Email Stacey at support@subtleyoga.com and we'll sort something out for you.
