Even if you’re not a science geek, you have zero confidence to seek out healthcare referrals, and it seems like the whole world thinks yoga is just exercise or stretching.
Ever frustrated to find yourself in situations where you can’t explain the scientific benefits of yoga?

Or, you’re good with the science, but you can’t translate it simply and convincingly?

Are you:
  • Frustrated because some students think yoga is just exercise?
  • Wanting to make a bigger impact on the lives and health of your students with a more holistic and science-based approach?
  • Stuck teaching fast, fitness yoga because that’s what students seem to want?
  • Feeling like your work is undervalued or dismissed?
  • Lacking the confidence to seek out referrals from healthcare providers?
  • Wanting to be the best yoga teacher you can be & stand out from the crowd?

Have you been stuck on the yoga fitness treadmill when you’d prefer to teach slower, more mindful practices and incorporate a more holistic definition of yoga - including ethics, postures, breathing and meditation?

Maybe you’re not reaching your ideal client? There are tons of yoga teachers out there for the fitness crowd, but there are so many people who need yoga, who will never go to a gym or studio.

Maybe you are so busy running around teaching classes, that you don’t have time to learn how to
masterfully explain the neurobiologic benefits of slower, more holistic practices and attract more ideal students
- the ones who would truly LOVE what you teach.

Slower practices Seen As Inferior Yoga
Everyone knows that exercise is important for health. So it’s normal for students to think they need fitness-based yoga. They may assume slower practices are only good for stretching or relaxing (and who has time for that)... but actually...Slow, mindful, holistic yoga can change the brain in ways that may be even MORE important than fitness. And there’s only a handful of people who understand the science behind these practices - and even fewer who can explain it masterfully.
Time + knowledge
Where would you even start to learn about how slow, mindful practice changes the brain? You’re a busy yoga teacher with a thirst for knowledge but you don’t have the time or money to spend months going to trainings, or reading books and research articles.
Many moons ago...
When I first started trying to make it as a yoga professional teaching slow, mindful, holistic practices instead of the trendy, sweaty stuff I really struggled. I was totally clear that what I taught was a gold mine of health, but I had no convincing way to help others understand that. I had neither the science nor the confidence to back it up. So I just resigned myself to having smaller classes and a smaller following.

I was totally clear that what I taught was a gold mine of health, but I had no convincing way to help others understand that. I had neither the science nor the confidence to back it up. So I just resigned myself to having smaller classes and a smaller following.
But then I realized something important. People were going to yoga classes 2 or 3 times a week because that’s how they were getting their fitness work out in.

But they would only come to my classes occasionally because they didn’t see the value of the slow stuff. They thought it was nice and relaxing, but they were not invested in it the way they were in their fitness yoga routine.

So I thought - What if I started tapping into the healthcare community? What if I could get referrals from healthcare providers?

So many people need this work and will never turn up at a gym or a yoga studio. If I could convince healthcare providers that my slow, mindful holistic yoga was the antidote to so many of our modern day chronic health conditions, then I’d always have lots of students!

But I had a problem - I didn’t speak their language. The language of science.

So I got to work collecting research, studying the brain, and trying to figure out what was happening during slow, mindful, holistic yoga practice.

The intense work I did (and still do!) helped me expand my business and build a solid following of yoga teachers and students. It also helped me cross over into the health professional market.

Now my mission is to help other yoga teachers like you who want to stand out from the crowd of fitness yoga teachers and powerfully change the lives and health of their students.
Once I understood and could explain the yoga and neuroscience connection, all sorts of opportunities popped up: teaching at conferences, hospitals and clinics, making new business connections. My classes, workshops, and trainings filled up because

I'd love to share a bit of my story with you.
My name is kristine kaoverii weber
I’ve been teaching for nearly 25 years. I’ve been studying yoga and the science behind it since 1989 and training talented yoga teachers like you since 2003.

I love slow, mindful yoga and I love science.

I have personally shown thousands of yoga professionals how to confidently understand and teach the life-changing value of slower, more holistic and integrated yoga practices. And this knowledge and confidence has helped my teachers build and retain large, consistent classes as well as private students.
During my study of physiology and neuroscience my goal was to learn how to speak to healthcare providers about the physiologic benefits of slow, mindful, adaptable, holistic yoga practices.

My hunch was that if I did that well then they would understand the value of what I teach.

You know what? That's exactly what happened. Not overnight of course, it took many years of research, and tweaking my language, but I'm now at the point where my classes, workshops and trainings are filled with psychotherapists, addiction specialists, physicians assistants, OTs, PTs and, of course, lots of ardent yoga enthusiasts too.

I’ve been able to expand my business and build this following because I learned to speak about yoga in the language of healthcare - science.

Now, not to toot my own horn, but I’ve become a leader in the field. The pioneering programs I created have helped me build a bridge from the yoga world to the healthcare world.

I want to help you have the same opportunities…

And without all the years of study and research. So even if you’re not a science geek, or you don’t yet have the confidence to seek out referrals from healthcare providers, this work will help you uplevel your teaching.

Spending years researching and studying physiology and neuroscience and translating that knowledge in an understandable way. I’ve done all the legwork and I’ve condensed and compiled my years of study in a convenient, well-outlined way to help you do this rather quickly and easily.
Waiting for and spending your hard-earned money traveling to one of my workshops here in Asheville, NC. While Asheville is beautiful and I love and prefer to teach in-person, I realize that it may be inconvenient for you, as well as expensive and time-consuming, so I decided to offer this online to give you an affordable and convenient (hang out with me in your pyjamas!) way to access this cutting-edge training.
Feeling like a second rate or undervalued yoga teacher because your confidence is going to expand dramatically once you understand the yoga and neuroscience connection. You’ll be joining a new, unique kind of yoga professionals who are teaching from the neuroscientific cutting-edge and transforming the lives and health of their students.

I have already purchased The Science of Slow™, should I also purchase The Yoga and Neuroscience Connection™ too?
The Science of Slow™ is a short course about specific health challenges that may benefit from slower practices including fatigue, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and body image/weight management. It includes about 90 minutes of lecture and 90 minutes of practice, plus a PDF of the slides and a bonus ebook.

The Yoga and Neuroscience Connection™ is an in-depth training about the neuroscience that underlies the 8 Limbs of Yoga system. It includes about 3 hours of practice video and about 6 hours of lecture, a workbook, quizzes, 2 bonus ebooks, a bonus PDF of all the slides, and a bonus infographic/cartoon.

If you are primarily looking for a brief review of some of the neurobiologic reasons why slower practices are beneficial, The Science of Slow™ is a great start. If you are also interested in how all the practices of the 8 limbed system – including postures, breathing, meditation and ethics - benefit health, then The Yoga and Neuroscience Connection™ is a more detailed explanation of the whole system. This is cutting edge information which references scientific studies and can greatly enhance your understanding of the science behind the practices.
Are there home study or practice elements and/or homework to complete?
There are quizzes after each lecture of each module to help you evaluate your learning. You are welcome to take them or leave them at your discretion. There is also a study guide that can help you review the material and deepen your learning. The study guide also contains a substantial amount of additional references materials – studies, books, articles, etc.
Is the content mine to keep forever?
Yes, the content is all downloadable. The world changes very quickly so the content will be available on the current platform until 1 January 2025 at which time we'll decide whether we will continue to support the course.
