Sometimes it can feel like we're not in control of our lives. We are merely passengers on the journey of life and are not consciously influencing our trajectory. We may look back and rue decisions that now seem poor and  feel like every day is a constant battle and something to 'get through'.

And it's common in this scenario to not have the capacity to positively reframe challenges or practice more acceptance because we are not in the right headspace.

kind words from clients
This course really gave me a good understanding of the yoga worldview of spirituality. This course deepen my own spiritual practice, giving me a better understanding of my interconnectedness to all beings. The home journaling exercises increased my understanding of the concepts taught in this course, including a useful page of references to refer to. Bhavesh was an excellent instructor and facilitator. He facilitated some interesting and productive discussions and thoroughly answered all questions during class and via email after class. He was so interesting to listen to because of his wealth of knowledge of the material covered. This was a fascinating introductory course, and I would highly recommend it!
- judi SLAKTER
Time spent with Bhavesh has helped me to overcome a constant, underlying sense of fear and concern for my safety. In striving for a deeply spiritual space I have come to understand that there is an infinite well of safety within me. I have learned that yoga is a means to be human, and to move towards the center of a great cosmic love. Learning about meditation particularly has helped me to get closer to source, to embrace and honor myself, and to maximize the value and joy of this life.
- Robin Liberatori
Bhavesh's comprehensive approach via yoga psychology has provided an ideal gateway for me to identify and safely explore issues connecting past and present. Bhavesh's highly developed capacity for remaining completely present with me ~ no matter what the terrain ~ continues to allow previously unimaginable vistas of new life to emerge. Value? Priceless.

frequently asked questions
Do I have to attend every session?
Yes, because each session builds on the understandings gained from the previous session and group cohesion is important for developing these understandings.
How is Yoga Psychology 101 different to what I've learned through Kristine's programs?
This course integrates a number of key concepts from specific psychotherapeutic modalities. Also since we ran the beta round of Yoga Psychology 101 we have changed the focus from psychoeducation to group processing. This means that Yoga Psychology 101 will mostly be about how the information presented can be made meaningful in terms of participant's experiences and outlook. If you are interested in the personal application of yoga psychology principles then this course is for you.
Tell me about your pricing policy.
Because this is a group process that lasts for 6 sessions and includes home study assignments, there are no refunds.
What is expected of me?
1. That you come to all 6 online sessions with an open mind and willing to give 100%, including contributing to the small and large group discussions.
2. Feedback on each of the 6 sessions so we can improve it for future programs.
3. And, finally, we'd be honored if you'd provide a testimonial on the program but this is entirely optional.
Are there any homework requirements?
Participants are invited to explore home study through journaling prompts and practice suggestions which will be provided.
What will I receive when I complete the course?
A certificate for 9 contact hours will be provided following full attendance. This may be relevant or applicable for mental health professionals. At this time this course does not offer CEUs for yoga professionals.
Will there be follow up Yoga Psychology programs?
Yes, that's the plan! In early 2024, we'll be offering Yoga Psychology 102 which is comprised of three new subjects which complement the 101 subjects. Then, later in 2024, we'll offer Yoga Psychology 201 and 202 which will be a deeper dive on what is covered in 101 and 102. Yoga Psychology 101 and 102 will be pre-requisites for 201 and 202.
Does Bhavesh also offer 1:1 coaching sessions?
Yes, he does. However, he has limited availability so priority will be given to past and present students of Yoga Psychology 101. Contact bhavesh@subtleyoga.com for package options.
